about

In poetry in particular, a chiasmus is a poem where the first line is repeated in the last line, the second in the second last and so on. It's a lovely structural idea that is quite hard to craft into an effective poem - and not at all pretentious at all. Nor is it pretentious to steal the idea of it, have different versions of songs in the place of poetic lines, and slapping the name on the record. Not. Pretentious. At. All. Because that is not how we roll! No, sir! We are a fun, good-time band and know nothing of your book poetry! We're from Sarf London, innit bruv. Safe.

credits

released November 24, 2015

Darren: vocals, guitars, keyboards, getting hit in the face by microphones
Gaz: bass, vocals, jumping up and down
Alex, the Cardiac Kid: drums, vocals, leaving early

All songs by Darren except Fargo/Moorhead, words by Darren, music by Darren and Gaz.

bonus Lo-Fi's on Ancient Submarines (Bedroom)
Cat: lady vocals
Ruth: lady trumpet

Recorded in our practice room at the Music Room, New Cross and in Darren's back room, Deptford, except Our Perfect Pop Song (Live at the Good Ship) recorded 7 Nov 2014 at the Good Ship in in Kilburn, North London. It's cool, even if it is in North London. We managed to avoid the North London Lo-Fi Explosion that night, so no blood was shed.
